I went to jail

I'm an irresponsible jerk who doesn't pay his traffic tickets and I spent sixty hours incarcerated. That's why I haven't updated with awesome updates about awesome parties at Awesome by Awesomewest (SXSW) I'm back and I'm interviewing Nadastrom tonight! WOO-HOO! So remember, pay your tickets so you don't go to jail, or don't pay them and interview cool people.

Also, fuck bologna sandwiches.

As promised, here's a free party featuring some of the best talent anywhere! DJ Craze, a world champion dj and absolute party destroyer, Klever ANOTHER multiple champion DJ, Jack Beats, master of bass, and Bird Peterson, Austin based DJBlockquote and producer who makes some bomb ass remixes will all be together at Barcelona on Friday, March 20th! and it's FREE! Just RSVP (also, be 21+)

RSVP for Free SXSW Parties!

First of all, thanks to EVERYONE that showed up to Hot Flash this weekend! It was amazing! A million and a half thanks to Richard Gear for being a bad-ass dj and just plain wrecking it on Saturday!

My favorite part of SXSW is the day parties and after-parties. Well, any parties really. A lot of them are free as long you RSVP, and since there's so many, it may be a little difficult to keep up with them. That's where I come in! I'll be posting free parties and RSVP links for you to check out. Keep checking back or FOLLOW ME ON TWITTER. I'm SO EXCITED!

Flock of Thugs

There are many questions that appear to be everpresent in the consciousness of man.  "Where did we come from?" "Where do we go when we die?" "What is the meaning of life?" Perhaps one of the heaviest and most contested of them all is the ominous question "Who Run It?" Slim Thug offers his dissertation in his new track which samples "I Ran" by A Flock of Seagulls.

Also, Slim Thug isn't very slim, that's true, but he can't call himself Chunky Thug because that's the name I started being called after (unsuccessfully) attempting to hold up a Baskin Robbins

Juvenile

I'm not afraid to admit that I have a bias against Juvenile, unless of course he's reading this in which case I'm very afraid and will sleep with a sock full of buffalo nickels next to my bed tonight. I've had that bias since around the sixth grade when I first heard of him, but I'll be damned if this song doesn't have me excited for his next record. (please don't kill me Mr. Nile.)

2/12 Sentence Reviews: He's Just Not That Into You

Welcome to a guest edition of 2 1/2 sentence reviews. My good friend Anne Clark just watched "He's Just Not That Into You" She's a former resident of Omaha and Dallas and now lives in a city that I can not name because she is wanted for endangerment of cats and various livestock. Since I will never watch this movie, here is her review:

Two hours explaining that he's just not into you is just as interesting as it sounds. When did Scarlett Johannson get fat? Also, Ben Affleck.

Thanks Anne.

I Want To Break Your Heart

This year for Valentine's Day I went the opposite of last year and made a heartbreak mix. Ironically, this is the first valentines day that I didn't spend alone. I don't think any of the mix is too whiny, and it covers a good amount of genres. A lot of the tracks run longer than I would normally let them run in a set, but that's because I was really trying to set a mood here. Pretty much all of the songs hold a personal significance to me, so that explains why some of them might not seem to fit the theme. Feel free to e-mail me and tell me what you think: killtronix@gmail.com

2 1/2 Sentence Movie Reviews

I'm not a big movie guy. I mean, I'm a big guy, and I enjoy movies, but I'm not a big guy who watches a lot of movies. Nor am I a guy who watches movies in a big way. I have also never seen the movie Big despite being big. I'm big.

For others like me and the incredibly lazy, I will be providing two and one half sentence movie reviews of movies that I have already seen. Luckily, recently I've seen an unusually large amount of movies. We start this new segment with The Good, The Bad & the Weird:

Chubby Comedic Relief, Ruthless Killer, and Loner Good Guy are all looking for a map in Manchuria that may or may not lead to treasure in this stylish homage to the Sergio Leone original. It's a good, serious movie, but it's too glossy to feel like a true western. Also, nomads

If you want real movie review and other things that are movie related and good, go to Gordon and the Whale. Tell them Killtron Sent you and get absolutely nothing!
